No. 5 – Kelvin Harmon gets his first touchdown catch

Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins was limited by an ankle injury last week, so concerns over his play were a bit overblown. That said, I expect another uneven outing from the rookie this week. He’s still learning the ropes, and Washington refuses to take the training wheels off, even when they might need to, in order to expedite the growth process.

This unbalanced process leads to a reciprocal product from Haskins himself; there will be bright moments, and there will be head-scratching incidents. One of those bright moments in Week 15 will be a touchdown pass to Kelvin Harmon, who’s been looking for his first score all season.

Harmon, a sixth-round rookie, has fallen under the shadow of upstart third-round pick Terry McLaurin, but Harmon himself has been solid this season for a first-year player, and arguably more consistent in recent weeks. From Week 11 to Week 13, Harmon had 11 receptions for 147 yards, and he almost hauled in a miraculous one-handed touchdown grab last week.

That score ultimately wasn’t meant to be for Harmon, but this week, against an Eagles secondary that is #Bad, Harmon will have a chance to get back on track, and reach a major career milestone as a rookie.
