1. Redskins must have big games from Derrius Guice and Adrian Peterson as they compliment each other well

After returning from IR, Derrius Guice continues to show everyone what a game-changer he can be at the running back position when he’s fully healthy. Guice finished the Carolina game with a career-best 129 yards on just ten carries. He scored two touchdowns on the day and caught a body in the process (RIP Shaq Thompson). He only has ten carries each of the last two games, but should continue to get an increased workload as he takes on a more substantial role in the offense.

After a couple of tough games, Adrian Peterson also got back into his groove against Carolina, as he had 99 yards and a touchdown, now creeping up on 14,000 career yards. Being able to rotate the two kept both of them fresh as they devastated the Panthers on the ground. It also showed that these two can co-exist in the same backfield and the total amount of damage they can do when they both get going.

Guice has given the offense the explosive plays it’s lacked prior and has three touchdowns since coming back. Peterson provides a physical, punishing style that sets the tone. Look for big games again from them this week as they face a favorable Packers’ run defense. If they can get around 150 yards between the two, control the clock, and keep the ball out of Aaron Rodgers’ hands, it will help immensely.
