Former All-Pro Josh Norman looks to be the odd-man-out after this season. With a somewhat disappointing tenure, what should the Redskins do with Josh Norman?

On April 22, 2016 the Washington Redskins signed All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman after the Carolina Panthers rescinded the franchise tag they had placed on the rising star. With loads of hype around him, Norman’s tenure in D.C. is a bit of a disappointment.

Coming off of his best season, the Redskins struck while the iron’s hot and looked to get one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. At that time, the Redskins were in desperate need of a true No. 1 cornerback as the NFC East featured bundles of wide receiver talent within.

As the years have passed since signing in D.C., Norman has fallen not only from his No. 1 status but fallen out of playing time on the football field.

This begs for the question, “What should the Redskins do with Josh Norman?”. With a plethora of young talent at cornerback like PFF’s No. 1 rated CB in Quinton Dunbar, the raw rookie with major talent in Jimmy Moreland, and lastly the guy who’s played much better since taking JNo’s spot in Fabian Moreau, the Redskins have a decision to make.

Do they trade Norma? Cut him? Keep him?

All options should be in play for this Redskins organization. Even keeping him. The reason being that with the likelihood of nearly the entire staff being fired after this 2019 campaign, bringing in a defensive coordinator who better suits and understands Josh’s playstyle could rejuvenate his career in D.C.
