1. P Tress Way

Anyone who has watched the Redskins this season knew this was coming. For the better part of the past two seasons, Tress Way has been the team’s most consistent player. Punters don’t always get a lot of love, but given the performance of the Redskins this season, Way has been given a lot of support by the fans. And if they show their love in the right way, he should earn a Pro Bowl nod.

Way was one of the biggest Pro Bowl snubs last season as Michael Dickson, a Seattle Seahawks rookie, earned the nod over him. This came despite the fact that Way had zero touchbacks on the season yet managed to place 41 punts inside the 20, good for best in the NFL.

This season, Way has continued to be an excellent punting option. He has topped the NFL in yards per punt at 49.9 and net average at 44.4 yards per punt. He has had 22 punts downed inside the 20 and has only allowed two touchbacks, so he has continued on at a solid clip in that category too.

If you’re going to vote for only one player in the Pro Bowl vote, it should be Way. He simply has been consistently good as a punter for the squad over the course of the past couple seasons and has established himself as the NFC’s best punter.

Next. Change is still necessary despite Redskins streak. dark

At the same time, it would reflect poorly on the Redskins organization not to get any players into the Pro Bowl. So, it’s understandable if you want to abstain from voting for any of these guys as a way to express displeasure with the way Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen are running this franchise.
