The Redskins might not end up sending anyone to the Pro Bowl this year. But they do have a few players that deserve a Pro Bowl nod.

I know what you’re thinking. Nobody cares about the Pro Bowl. It’s not fun to watch as the players don’t try much for fear of getting injured. And who can blame them? Getting injured in a meaningless exhibition is never fun, and that’s why the Pro Bowl has never gained much traction as a competitive, all-star event.

That said, getting a Pro Bowl nod can mean a lot for certain players. And it is always interesting to see who gets voted in. So, while the end result of the game might not matter, the voting process has a little intrigue.

And the most intriguing part? Seeing who fans may think is highly rated that All-Pro voters may not hold in as high a regard.

There are a few Redskins that are deserving of getting Pro Bowl votes this year. If you’re not up for voting for them as a protest of the Pro Bowl or the poor performance of a seemingly directionless Redskins team for most of the season, that’s fine. But these are the guys that have stood out for the team so far this season and they’re about the only hopes that the team has of sending anyone to the Pro Bowl.

With all that said, let’s dive in and take a look at the candidate pool.
