Coming off a hard-fought victory over the Detroit Lions, the Washington Redskins travel to face the Carolina Panthers in what could be a thrilling Week 13 matchup.

Last week against the Lions, the Redskins did just enough to earn a home win and give Dwayne Haskins his first victory as an NFL quarterback. While it wasn’t pretty and Washington didn’t do themselves any favors in the draft order, winning games is a huge confidence builder for a rookie quarterback.

The Carolina Panthers are 5-6 on the season but they have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. They are without franchise quarterback Cam Newton, who is on IR for the season. They’ve been up and down this year as they’ve battled both inconsistency and injuries.

If the Redskins look to get to three wins on the season and get Dwayne Haskins his second consecutive victory as a starter, here are five keys to victory against Carolina.
