The Washington Redskins were able to beat the Detroit Lions at home on Sunday. Here are some takeaways from the game.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a Redskins win!

After a brutal 1-9 start to the season, the Redskins finally were able to earn their second victory. Though they trailed by three points in the fourth quarter, they were able to drive for a couple of field goals to get the victory in the final minute of the game.

The game wasn’t all pretty for the Redskins. They had some rough moments and continued to struggle on offense, as they once again failed to score a touchdown on that side of the ball. Their lone score came on a kick return.

Still, the team had a 10-point lead on the Lions. They lost it, but they were able to battle back in the fourth quarter. That’s an encouraging sign, and it’s not something that we have seen from them in the past 10 games.

Here’s a look at three takeaways from the Redskins win starting with a minor change they should make to improve their team.
