1. Redskins must get Derrius Guice around 12 touches rushing and receiving

In his first game back from IR, Derrius Guice showed everybody what he capable of doing when he is healthy and on the field. Washington struggled running against a talented Jets run defense, but Guice finished with 24 yards on the ground on seven carries. The highlight of the day though was the 45-yard touchdown he scored off a screen pass as he showcased vision, speed, and elusiveness.

Look for the Redskins to continue to work Guice back into the offense this weekend and increase his workload. With Adrian Peterson still figuring to be a big part of the offense, there’s no reason to overload him in his second game back, but Guice is going to need his touches. After eight total touches last game, 12 (10 carries, two catches) would be good this game.

If Washington can get Guice involved this game and get him an adequate number of touches, it will go a long way toward victory.
