Safety. Seminoles . Hamsah Nasirildeen. 11. player. 804.

This is the only prospect on this list who’d require a substantial trade down for the Redskins to seriously consider him in Round 1. A team in the 20-30 range would have to make a deal with the Redskins, but getting a boat load of picks, along with Florida State safety Hamsah Nasirildeen, would be quite the haul.

Nasirildeen is still very much a projection, and his draft ranking constitutes more upside than most other prospects. But Nasirildeen’s upside is through the roof. The junior safety is 6-foot-4, 215, and he’s shown flashes of the speed and burst needed to play the diverse roles on the back end. He has the innate ability to explode through the catch point when the ball comes near, and ultimately make a play.

With the Redskins free safety situation up in the air, Nasirildeen would provide them with a high-upside player who’s coming off his best season. Through ten games in 2019, Nasirildeen has 96 total tackles, two interceptions, three pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and a sack. He would provide range at safety, while also possessing the potential to serve as a coverage linebacker at times.

Nasirildeen has been incredibly productive for the Seminoles, and he can thank his rare combination of length and athleticism for that. After a trade down, Nasirildeen would be a very solid addition. Alabama’s Xavier McKinney would also be a good add, but with this pick, I went with pure upside over polish.

Now that we’ve gone over the plus-one, let’s get into the top ten.
