No. 2 – Terry McLaurin notches 100 yards for first time since Week 6

It’s bold, but I think the Redskins passing game, which ranks dead last in yards per game through ten contests, should have a bounce-back game at home, against the Detroit Lions defense. And even though Terry McLaurin will be covered by Darius Slay, he should still be able to get involved.

Whenever he’s matched up with good cornerbacks, McLaurin showcases the ability to win that matchup. He has the quickness and route running nuance to battle with the best of them, and against Slay, who’s having a bit of a down year, he should be able to keep that going.

McLaurin hasn’t broken the 100-yard mark since the Dolphins game in Week 6. Since then, due to the team’s transition process at quarterback, McLaurin has been limited in terms of how much he can produce. It’s taken some time for Dwayne Haskins to get comfortable with the NFL’s pace, but now that he is, we’re seeing him free up his game more and more.

Against the Lions secondary, McLaurin should be able to find space, and his college quarterback will be looking his way. McLaurin is the most dynamic weapon in the Redskins receiving core by a mile and a half, and he’ll show why on Sunday, by breaking the 100-yard mark for the third time in his young, budding career.
