The Washington Redskins started their rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins for the first time on Sunday. How did he fare?

The Washington Redskins didn’t start Dwayne Haskins willfully, of course; he only got the opportunity because of an injury sustained by the team’s previous starting quarterback Case Keenum. But now that Haskins has officially mounted his first start, the debate is on, regarding whether or not he should retain the role.

The Buffalo Bills, who fielded a defense that was No. 3 in the nation in total yardage coming into Week 9, gave the Redskins a tough time, as was expected, and at the end of the day, Haskins stats were far from flashy. He finished with 15 completions and 144 yards on 22 attempts, with no turnovers generated. He didn’t get in his own way, and there was noticeable improvement from week to week. But at the same time, he left room for improvement.

What did Haskins do well on Sunday against Buffalo, and where could he improve? What should Washington do at their quarterback position moving forward, based on the factors impacting the situation? In a comeback episode of the Riggo’s Rag Podcast, that’s what I discussed with Riggo’s Rag contributor Conor Forrest. We also spoke on Adrian Peterson’s emergence, the Nationals’ World Series championship, and much, much more!

What do you think the Redskins should do with rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins? Should they keep him in the lineup and take the lumps with him? Or is there a benefit to relegating him back to the bench? What message does that send? What would it be for?
