Redskins vs. Bills: Keys to victory in Week 9 of the 2019 season

4. Redskins’ secondary must be opportunistic and make two interceptions
As mentioned earlier, Josh Allen has progressed nicely since getting drafted last year. One area that he has struggled with at times is turning the ball over. He has had fumbling issues. He has also had interception issues, though he has been doing better minimizing them the last couple weeks. On the season, he has seven interceptions in seven games, including two games in which he threw multiple interceptions.
The Redskins’ secondary must be looking to take advantage of the young signal caller. With three interceptions on the season, Quinton Dunbar could be in for a big day, as the Bills do not have a legit No. 1 receiver for Allen to throw to. Fabian Moreau has not played well this season. Josh Norman has not played well either and has just one interception, but he still does have the ability to create turnovers, so don’t be surprised if he baits Allen into an errant throw.
Despite being 5-2, the Bills are -1 in turnover differential. If the Redskins can win the turnover battle, there is a good chance they can win this game as it is a very telling statistic.
