After a tough defeat on Thursday Night Football, the Washington Redskins travel to Buffalo to face Josh Allen and the talented, young Bills in what will be an exciting game, as Dwayne Haskins makes his first NFL start.

There was a lot to be made of the Washington Redskins game leading up to the Thursday Night matchup against the Vikings and former quarterback Kirk Cousins. When it was all said and done, the Vikings walked away with a 19-9 victory to drop the Redskins to 1-7 on the season. Not a lot has gone right for the Redskins this year. Enter Dwayne Haskins.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills have had a lot go right for them recently. They hired Sean McDermott, who appears to be an excellent, young defensive-minded coach. They drafted a promising quarterback in Josh Allen. Buffalo’s future is bright. The Bills are coming off a 31-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but are still 5-2 on the season.

The rest of the regular season will be more about the development of Haskins than a meaningless 2019 game. But, if the Redskins hope to start the second half of the season strong and leave Buffalo with a win to help build Haskins some confidence, here are five keys to victory for Washington.
