2. Terry McLaurin has twice as many receiving yards as the next-highest in the entire game

So far this season, Terry McLaurin has been one of the best rookies in all of football. He has shown an ability to continuously cook opposing defensive backs and has held his own against tougher competition like Stephon Gilmore.

Against Buffalo, McLaurin will be facing another tough matchup. Tre’Davious White is one of the league’s best cornerbacks and he will do what he can to shut down McLaurin when they line up across from each other.

That said, McLaurin’s route-running ability will give him a chance to beat White on a number of occasions. He will find space and if the Bills ever have White take a snap off or cover another play, McLaurin has the potential to break a bit play.

Furthermore, McLaurin figures to be the top target for Dwayne Haskins in this game. Haskins and McLaurin played together at Ohio State so they already have strong chemistry from their days there. Haskins could look in on his collegiate teammate early and often as he looks to get his first-start jitters out. That will afford him an opportunity to post a lot of yards despite his tougher matchup.

By the end of the game, McLaurin should be leading all receivers from both teams in total yardage. To keep this bold, we’ll say the McLaurin will double up the next closest receiver and will continue to establish himself as one of the best young players in football.
