No. 3 – EDGE Montez Sweat

Montez Sweat has been solid through eight games, but he hasn’t been a revelation as many had hoped. He’s still adjusting to the pace and prowess of NFL tackles, and it’ll take some time for him to truly put it together; while he had some degree of nuance in college, he was nowhere near as developed as Brian Burns or Nick Bosa, and we’re seeing that discrepancy now.

Sweat will get another chance to learn from his competition on Sunday, as the Bills two starting tackles are both fierce technicians who know how to use their leverage to win, and yet, they’re young up-and-coming players who Sweat will be able to gauge his progress against.

If Sweat finds some success against the Bills line, it could bode well for the Redskins chances at winning, as Bills quarterback Josh Allen is particularly volatile when playing against pressure. Whatever the end result ends up being, Sweat will have an extra week to digest and develop from this experience.
