Three scariest players the Redskins could add to their defense next offseason
It’s Halloween today, so it’s time to get scary. Scary good, that is. Here’s a look at a few immensely talented defenders the Redskins could add to their roster in the 2020 offseason.
Coming into the 2019 NFL season, the Redskins were expected to have a good defense. Some thought that they had scary-good potential and could be a top-10 unit.
Alas, they haven’t lived up to expectations and it’s a big part of why the team in 1-7 this season. So far, the only scary thing about the defense is that Greg Manusky is still in charge of them. His unit has lacked inspiration, creativity, and aggressiveness at key points. Heck, they almost lost to the Dolphins after the defense effectively blew a 14-point third-quarter lead.
Still, regardless of their performance this year, the Redskins still have solid personnel on the defensive side of the ball. With some reinforcements (and a coaching change) they could be much closer to the top-10 unit that some were hoping for in 2020.
To do that, the Redskins will need to add some scary players to their defense. And here’s a look at how they could add a few via the draft, free agency, and from their own roster.
