Mike Leach (1 percent) is the head coach for the Washington St. Cougars.  Leach has a brilliant, innovative offensive mind and could be a longshot candidate for an NFL head coaching gig.

Don “Wink” Martindale (1 percent) is the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens.  He was the linebackers coach for several seasons and was promoted last year.

Dan Quinn (0 percent) is the head coach for the Atlanta Falcons.  Quinn will likely be looking for a new job after the season – maybe sooner.

Mike Tomlin (0 percent) is the head coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Social media was vocal a few weeks ago about Tomlin coming to Redskins Park in Ashburn, VA.  Quite frankly, it won’t happen.

Nick Saban (0 percent) is the head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide and while several of his former players are suiting up for the Redskins, he is not heading to Ashburn either.

There are other coaches who could become available once the season ends and this list is certainly not set in stone, but it does provide a glimpse at a few candidates for now.  The offseason is two months away and will be here in a flash.
