Dud No. 2 – CB Fabian Moreau

The Redskins defensive backs weren’t necessarily lit up by Kirk Cousins and the Vikings; Minnesota was done with most of their passing early in the second half, when they acquired a 10-point lead on the immobile Washington Redskins.

But when the Vikings were passing the ball, they were doing it with ease, and one reason was the matchup of Stefon Diggs and Fabian Moreau.

The first half, Diggs was unstoppable against Moreau. Time and time again, Diggs was open, and Moreau was in the lurch trying to close the gap. Diggs finished the game with seven receptions for 143, and he was a key component of the Vikings long, efficient drives in the first half.

The stats won’t say that Moreau was burned, but on short to intermediate routes, he gave up far too much space, and it cost the Redskins defense. Moreau has the traits to succeed, but finding consistency has been a challenge for him.
