All eyes will be on the Washington Redskins Thursday night as travel to Minnesota to face the quarterback they once thought was going to save the franchise, Kirk Cousins, in a prime time matchup.

After a hard-fought 9-0 home loss against the San Francisco 49ers to drop the Redskins to 1-6 on the season, they travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings on Thursday Night Football. Thursday night games are tough for both teams, especially the away team. The Vikings won against Detroit to move to 5-2 on the season and have a talented team and excellent coaching staff.

This game will be interesting to watch because of all the players getting a chance at revenge against their former team. Case Keenum returns to face the team he helped guide to the 2017 NFC Championship game. Kirk Cousins gets a shot for a prime time victory against the team who gave him a shot as a starter. And Adrian Peterson faces the franchise he once scored over 100 touchdowns and ran for almost 12,000 yards with.

With the Washington Nationals in the World Series, they will be garnishing much of the DC attention this week (and rightfully so for fielding a winning product). But this is a game that many ‘Skins fans had marked down because of the chance to face Cousins. If the Redskins hope to win a prime time game against the Vikings and their former quarterback, here are five keys to victory on Thursday Night Football.
