Coming off a 17-16 win against the lowly Dolphins, the Washington Redskins welcome former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and the undefeated 49ers to FedExField.

The Washington Redskins won an ugly affair in Miami Sunday afternoon to move to 1-5 on the season. This game was a pyrrhic victory for the Redskins as they ultimately hurt their chances of earning the top pick in a loaded 2020 draft. Next up on their schedule, the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.

San Francisco has looked tough early in the season, and they’ve outscored their last two opponents (Browns and Rams) 51-10. They are firing on all cylinders at the moment. San Francisco is coming off of a bye week, so they are going to be well-rested as well. There is also a personal vendetta for their coach, Kyle Shanahan. The Redskins fired his dad (Mike), him, and the rest of the coaching staff after a 3-13 record during the 2013 season. So expect him to try to run the score up if he gets the chance.

Washington returns to FedEx Field after an unimpressive 17-16 victory against the Miami Dolphins. After jumping out to a 17-3 lead, Ryan Fitzpatrick almost rallied Miami to a comeback win. But they were able to build some momentum with that win before they square off against an undefeated 49ers squad. If the Redskins hope to pull a Sunday shocker and move to 2-5 on the season, here are five keys to victory against San Francisco.
