Redskins must get pressure on Josh Rosen

After struggling to generate pressure for the first quarter of the season, the Redskins’ defensive line did an excellent job of getting to Tom Brady, finishing with an impressive four sacks on the day. They were able to generate pressure for much of the game against a solid Patriots’ offensive line.

The Dolphins traded away their best tackle Laremy Tunsil before the season started. As a result, the offensive line has struggled so far this season as they’ve failed to protect Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen. Since Rosen has taken over as the starter, he has shown glimpses of why he was a first-round selection last year. But he doesn’t have a lot of weapons at his disposal.

The Redskins defensive line must have a second week in a row of generating pressure. They must get to Rosen and not let the young signal-caller beat them. If the pass rush cannot get to Rosen like they did Brady, and Rosen is given time, there is a good chance that Washington will leave Miami with a loss.
