2. Redskins must get continue to integrate Steven Sims Jr into the offense

Not a lot went right for the Redskins against the defending Super Bowl champions on Sunday. Not a lot has gone right for this team up to this point. One bright spot from Sunday was Steven Sims Jr., who had an electrifying 65-yard touchdown run. An undrafted rookie, Sims has looked good when given the opportunity to contribute.

With Kevin O’Connell calling plays now that Jay Gruden is gone, he should look to integrate Sims Jr. into the offense the same way other teams use smaller, quicker receivers. He had a couple of nice plays against Dallas before not being used the last two weeks before his touchdown. Sims Jr. is electric and a playmaker on an offense lacking them (minus Terry McLaurin). Utilize him.

Sims Jr. also adds an element in the return game. He has had some good returns on the season and could help set up the ‘Skins with a short field. Sims Jr. should get at least five touches on offense against Miami plus his return opportunities. Washington should be looking to develop some of its’ younger players, and Sims is one packed with potential.
