2. Landon Collins gets a sack, an interception, leads the team in tackles

Landon Collins was the Redskins’ biggest free-agent acquisition this offseason. And so far, he has played very well with the team.

However, some haven’t been as happy with his production. They have reasoned that the $84 million safety hasn’t made enough of an impact in the passing game, as he hasn’t had a pass defense or an interception through five games with the team. Though he is leading the team with 43 tackles, it would be nice to see him make some more splash plays.

And the Week 6 matchup against Miami is certainly a good chance to do that.

The Dolphins have a hapless offense that lacks weaponry at almost every position. Their best receivers are former first-round pick DeVante Parker and undrafted rookie Preston Williams. They aren’t consistent, so Collins could make some plays against them. And if he can trick Josh Rosen into making some bad throws, he should have a chance to get an interception.

In addition to this, Collins should continue to be a strong tackler and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him log 10 stops if the Dolphins try to run or work the middle of the field. Additionally, he should have a chance to log his first sack of the season in this game. Greg Manusky will likely be aggressive and could send Collins on some blitzes to keep Rosen guessing.

Overall, expect Collins to have a complete stat line. He should make plays against the pass while continuing to be a strong tackler. He could wreak havoc against the Dolphins, so he is definitely a player to watch in this contest.
