4. Adrian Peterson rushes for 108-plus yards, 2 touchdowns

So far this season, Adrian Peterson has run the ball 40 times. He has 108 yards total and one touchdown.

He could easily double that total against the Dolphins.

There are a number of things working in Peterson’s favor on Sunday. First of all, the Dolphins don’t have a very strong defense. While they do have first-round pick Christian Wilkins on their defensive line, the Redskins should be able to negate his presence.

Second, interim head coach Bill Callahan spoke of wanting to establish the run and get Peterson specifically in a rhythm on Sunday. That means that Peterson should see a massive workload and could get 20-plus carries, especially if they can get the running game going early.

I expect that Peterson will have a massive game against the Dolphins. He seems rejuvenated by Callahan’s approach and said as much, calling this week of practice the best week of practice the ‘Skins have had since he has been there. He will be ready to prove Callahan right and get back on track against a weaker opponent.

If Peterson doubles his yardage output and triples his touchdown output, it wouldn’t be a surprise. He should have a great chance to succeed and will be able to re-establish the run for a Washington team that has too often been rendered one-dimensional this season.
