October 7th, 2019. The last time I spoke to all of you, I was explaining to you, why Jay Gruden’s time with the Redskins should be coming to an end immediately.

A few mornings ago, Jay Gruden was fired. While it was a move that had to come, I will admit, Jay wasn’t the biggest issue for the Washington Redskins. Oh no, the biggest issue(s), are Dan Snyder, Bruce Allen, and Greg Manusky.

While the “Sell the team, Dan!” positions are understandable, that isn’t a topic worth discussing currently because Dan isn’t going anywhere. I’ll move on from him, but best believe, he’s been the biggest reason for the Redskins failures since 1999.

That being said, there are two crucial parts to the Redskins recent defensive failures since 2017, and the decade full of failures, since 2009. The two crucial parts are defensive coordinator Greg Manusky, and president, general manager, Dan’s right-hand man, *whatever you call him*, Bruce Allen.

While losing has been embraced since the year after I was born, 1999, Dan Snyder has gone through his fair share of coaches and front office members. None have which, have been as bad as both Greg Manusky, and Bruce Allen.

While the older generation might point to Vinny Cerrato and Jim Haslett as the worst GM and DC to ever step onto a Redskins field since 1999, I wholeheartedly disagree. Bruce Allen and Greg Manusky epitomize what this organization has been about since the start of the Dan Snyder era in Washington.

All of that noted, if the Redskins want to change the “damn good culture” that Bruce Allen claims this organization currently has, they must first fire defensive coordinator Greg Manusky.
