The Washington Redskins and New England Patriots are two very different teams, but this game should still be an interesting test for Washington. Here are the five Redskins to watch in this game.

I know, I know. At this point, you don’t want to hear about the games. And especially not this game. But the reality is that Jay Gruden and company are here for at least another week. And while the team may not be very competitive this season, the games are still important tests for the fringe roster players.

The Redskins are 0-4. The Patriots are 4-0. These two teams couldn’t be headed in more different directions. The ‘Skins are on their way to a rehaul of their coaching staff and potentially, their roster depending on who is brought in. Meanwhile, the Patriots are in their 20th year under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady and have made the past three Super Bowls.

And oh yeah, they’ve only allowed a total of 27 points so far this season. And 14 of those points have come courtesy of a Jarrett Stidham pick-6 and a Gunner Olszewski muffed punt that was recovered in the end zone.

The Patriots figure to beat the Redskins, but there are still things to watch in this game. And in particular, this game could be a good test for some of their young, developing players. The Patriots have an elite defense so the offense could be tested. But if they can somehow find a way to move the ball, that could end up being a positive for them.

With all of that said, here’s a look at the five Redskins to watch in Week 5 against the Patriots.
