Final Thoughts

While we don’t prefer discussing the loss of anyone’s job, something drastic may need to be done to help breathe life into a Redskins team that needs saving.

Manusky is certainly on the hot seat. The team tried to replace him last offseason to no avail. And if the defense continues to fail to live up to expectations, he could find himself in trouble.

With the Bears, Giants, and Patriots on deck, another poor performance by the defense will undoubtedly lead towards eventual change.

The Redskins defense must show better, starting in Week 3 against the Mitchell Trubisky led Chicago Bears. That primetime Monday night home game will be a key test for this stop unit and a chance to prove that they can play at a higher level than they did in the first two games of the season.
