No. 3 – Redskins LG Ereck Flowers

Believe it; Ereck Flowers actually looked good on Sunday at left guard. As illustrated in a Twitter thread put together by offensive line expert Robbie Duncan, Flowers’ stance issue showed up less against the Eagles, and he showed promise with solid, powerful hand-fighting techniques and an eagerness to look for work as a blocker.

Flowers’ growth was surprising in Week 1; the converted tackle had been a cause for concern early and often in preseason with penalties and other errors, and while there was undeniable upside to his game at guard, it looked as if he’d need more time in the lab to iron out his inconsistencies.

For one week, Flowers proved his doubters wrong. Now he needs to do it again.

Against Dallas’ defensive line, that should be doable, at the very least, for Flowers. The Eagles line brought more depth and more top-end talent, and while the Cowboys have a couple impressive athletes in their rotation, Flowers let the world know on Sunday that he’s not a doormat anymore. In fact, he may wipe the floor with you instead.
