Redskins Roster Bubble Stock Report: Familiar faces find their footing

Stock Up – Redskins CB Deion Harris
There isn’t much room to gain at cornerback. Josh Norman and Quinton Dunbar are locks, and Fabian Moreau won’t be placed on injured reserve if he’s only set to miss one or two weeks. Jimmy Moreland and Greg Stroman should be fairly safe behind those three, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie brings more veteran leadership and versatility to the table.
There doesn’t seem to be a spot open at cornerback. But if there was, Deion Harris would have taken it on Thursday night.
Harris was the Redskins fifth-highest graded defender on Pro Football Focus, coming in with a solid coverage grade of 74.4. In fourteen coverage snaps, he was targeted twice, and he did not allow a catch. He had a pass deflection late, showing off his 6-foot-3 frame and his impressive athleticism.
Harris hasn’t been perfect this preseason, but on Thursday, he gave the Redskins a high note to look back on. He has exciting potential if he can stay healthy, and while his current position embodies the roster fringe, he’s not going without a fight.
