Stock Up – Redskins RB Craig Reynolds

Through two preseason games, undrafted free agent Craig Reynolds leads the Redskins in rushing with 46 total yards on 14 carries. In Week 2, he had a much more efficient outing, amassing 25 yards on five carries, and he also returned a kick for 29 yards.

Reynolds figures to be at least the fourth running back on the depth chart, behind Derrius Guice, Adrian Peterson, and Chris Thompson. He’d be battling with Byron Marshall and Samaje Perine for that No. 4 spot, although Perine may have fallen out of favor with his Week 2 showing.

Reynolds is the youngest out of all of them, and he offers exciting versatility. At 5-foot-9, he’s a bit on the small side, but he can run with speed and power, while also providing an option in the receiving game. He hasn’t received many opportunities to catch passes yet in preseason, but he caught 147 in his four-year career at Kutztown.

If he continues to make the most of his chances, and displays this same versatility in the next two weeks, Reynolds could sneak onto the roster as the No. 4 running back.
