1. Darvin Kidsy leads the team in all major receiving categories

Darvin Kidsy was one of the Washington Redskins’ best receiving threats in the preseason opener. Can he make it happen again? I think it’s possible.

Kidsy showed good burst and versatility in the first preseason game and has earned the praise of head coach Jay Gruden in the past week as well. He is doing a lot to make himself a strong roster candidate, but another strong performance could help him to really generate a lot of buzz.

That could come against the Bengals. The Bengals have solid, young corner depth, but that should give Kidsy a chance to prove himself against back-end roster guys. If he can continue to do that, the team will certainly move him up in the pecking order and move him inside the 53-man roster bubble.

It also wouldn’t hurt Kidsy’s cause to keep playing well with Dwayne Haskins on the field. Haskins and Kidsy had a nice connection in the first preseason game and since Haskins’ development is the most important storyline of the next couple seasons for the ‘Skins, it could behoove them to keep around a weapon he likes aside from Terry McLaurin.

All told, I think Kidsy will continue to do well along with Haskins and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him lead the team in catches and yards once again. We’ll throw in touchdowns as well to make this a truly bold prediction ahead of the contest with the Bengals.
