Los Angeles Rams

The Rams could be due for a regression as the defending Super Bowl runner-ups, but for my money, they should be the favorites to take home the NFC West crown, with former Redskins coach Sean McVay leading the way.

The Rams got so far last year with a combination of offensive efficiency and defensive competence (and if not competence, then simply withstanding). This year, they have all of the pieces to their offensive puzzle still in tact, and on defense, they still have the game changers they need to field a competent unit.

In this prediction, the Rams achieve an 11-5 record, but they’re demoted to the NFC 4-seed as a result of the tiebreaker with the Minnesota Vikings, who finished with the same record. Still, with Jared Goff heading an explosive offensive attack, and with Aaron Donald and John Johnson punctuating an effective defense, the Rams can extend their playoff streak.
