Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bruce Arians is a coach. Emphasis on “coach”. He’s a smart football mind, and he knows how to get the best out of the young men under his employ, on and off the field. He built a contender from the ground up in the Arizona Cardinals, and now, back from retirement, he could do the same in Tampa Bay.

That said, the Buccaneers aren’t ready to win yet. While Arians will instill a new culture, and put them on the right path, their defense is still dangerously porous, and on offense, there are looming questions, from the implementation of Byron Leftwich’s scheme, to the viability of Jameis Winston as a franchise quarterback.

These are questions that might take a season to explore and answer, and unfortunately, winning may not be a byproduct of that exploration. Competing in the unforgiving NFC South won’t help. But for Arians, it’s a long-term game in Tampa Bay. The goal is to get back to the Super Bowl. That never happens overnight.
