Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers are a sturdy team, not necessarily because they’re built sturdily from a roster perspective, but because they have certain assets that keep them afloat. Their offensive line is thin and their secondary, outside of Derwin James, lacks depth as well. Those are two crucial parts of the modern NFL team.

That said, Philip Rivers is an institution, and he should keep having success with his skill cast. Anthony Lynn has proven himself as a solid motivator and game planner, and Gus Bradley can boast the same on the defensive side of the ball.

The Chiefs are more advanced than Los Angeles, both from a roster perspective and from a philosophy perspective. But the Chargers are solid nonetheless, and they should be in the thick of the playoff conversation, as they are every year. If injuries hit, however, they could be in for trouble quicker than most.
