The NFL preseason is almost here and with it comes important position battles for the Washington Redskins. Here’s a look the top ones to watch for the Redskins.

The NFL preseason is about to get underway for the Washington Redskins. They are heading up to Cleveland, Ohio to face the Browns which means that when 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening arrives, I will be fully glued to my couch watching my Redskins play.

In the first preseason game don’t expect to see much, if any, of the starters to receive playing time and the only thing you want to see from them is coming away healthy. This game is about evaluating who will start at a couple of positions and who mid-tier depth chart guys will step up and show not only can that they can make it in the NFL.

Even though it’s preseason and none of these games count towards the win-loss column, these games decide who will make the final 53-man roster and be a part of the 2019 Washington Redskins.

There are four main position battles going into Thursday night that you will want to keep your eye on. A big performance by any of the players in those battles will give said player an advantage when it comes to being named starter or making the team.

Without further ado, here’s a look at the four biggest position battles to watch.
