Redskins: Three key storylines to watch as training camp nears
By Ian Cummings
The Redskins are an enigma. But what else is new?
Some see the Washington Redskins as a clear playoff threat, with the talent to make some noise. Others see the noise as just that, and nothing else. The truth, as it’s been for five years, might lie somewhere in the middle. But for now, we cannot find the answer.
For now, all we can do is wait.
If the Redskins are to succeed, and transcend the middling expectations placed upon them, then much of the Redskins success will be predicated, in fact, on the work done in training camp. How will Jay Gruden’s coaching style age, now in its sixth season, trapped under peak scrutiny. How will the defense mesh?
With that said, let’s take a look at three key storylines to look forward to, as training camp nears. These are the storylines that will shape training camp, and ultimately trickle through to the regular season.
