Conclusion

Which Redskin is going to be starting at left guard? Well, here’s my prediction.

When September 8 comes around and the Redskins travel to Philadelphia to start the season, I believe you will see rookie Wes Martin starting at the left guard spot. Martin reminds me a lot of the guy he will line up opposite of, two-time pro bowler, Brandon Scherff. Both are known for their smarts, toughness, brute strength, country-man size, and overall nastiness when it comes to playing the offensive line position.

The Redskins are looking for their future left guard, Martin has the potential and opportunity to become the day one starter now and of the future.

Expect some growing pains but with great teammates to learn from and Bill Callahan coaching, Martin has the tools at his disposal to become a building block along the offensive line.
