The Washington Redskins have long needed an upgrade at the left guard position. Did they find one during the 2019 offseason?

Washington Redskins fans have long been waiting for the team to make a long-term investment in left guard. For the past five seasons, Shawn Lauvao has been inconsistently manning the left guard position while other positions across the offensive line have stable long-term guys in Trent Williams, Morgan Moses, and Brandon Scherff.

The Redskins have needed to make a left guard upgrade for some time now and that upgrade should come in the form of a young, tough, hard-nosed football player who the Redskins can rely upon and build behind for years to come.

The Redskins may have found that this offseason. They also may not have. At the moment, the guard position is shaping up to be a two-man race to decide a starting job. Here’s an in-depth look at the potential position battle and what the ‘Skins may do at guard.
