Other late-round options

8. RB Chris Thompson: Chris Thompson has a high fantasy ceiling especially in PPR leagues but you couldn’t always count on his health or playing time. Thompson is a quarterback’s best friend for check downs and screens, and in Jay Gruden’s offense, the Redskins can do a lot of things with Thompson. Consistent quarterback play and health will be the key for Thompson, I would take a shot on Thompson in the mid to late rounds in leagues.

9. WR Terry McLaurin: The Redskins need a playmaker to step up for the offense to take that next leap, McLaurin can provide the speed that will put fear in opponents secondary. With Dwayne Haskins at QB, the former Ohio State teammates can pick up where they left off.

Pro Football Focus’ Daniel Rymer said the duo is the second-best Passer Rating on QB to WR Combo in the PFF College era (2014-present). That Ohio State connection can lead to some decent numbers in McLaurin’s rookie season, in deep keeper leagues He’s worth a late-round flier.

10. K Dustin Hopkins: Hopkins is a reliable kicker making 51-of-55 all kicks last season. Hopkins’ fantasy value was limited due to the struggling Redskins offense but with a stable quarterback situation and an offense that can move the ball, expect a better Dustin Hopkins as well.

With more chances come more points. I’d wait till my last pick to draft him but Hopkins should be a top 10 fantasy kicker next season.
