Tracking the undrafted free agents the Redskins sign after the 2019 NFL Draft
The 2019 NFL Draft is over, but the Washington Redskins aren’t done adding to their roster. They are now shifting their focus to undrafted free agents.
The acquisition point of the offseason is almost over. Well, not over, but it will certainly slow down soon. With the draft now over, a third-wave of free agency could occur, and that will be headlined by undrafted free agents.
After the 2019 NFL Draft, there are a lot of talented players still available on the undrafted free agent market. Teams will look to scoop up some of the most talented players, and the Washington Redskins will be one of them. And recently, they have had some success in finding undrafted free agents.
Last season, the team did well in adding Danny Johnson, who turned into a role player on the defense and has upside as a slot corner. They previously have found success with players like Rob Kelley and Quinton Dunbar, so it seems likely that one of these names will catch on.

With that said, here’s a look at the players that the Redskins are reportedly signing to undrafted free agent deals.
Last Update: 10:10 p.m. on Saturday
Update: LBs Te’Von Coney and Tre Watson were originally reported to sign with the Redskins, but things have changed. Coney will go to the Raiders while Watson will go to the Dolphins.
DT Ryan Bee, Marshall. Bee (6-7, 280 pounds) had at least four sacks in each of his four years at Marshall. With ideal size, he is a worthwhile pickup as a developmental player on the defensive line. He may not find a spot on the active roster, but he could spend a year on the practice squad as a developmental five tech. He is the most potential-packed of the undrafted players so far.
OLB B.J. Blunt, McNeese State. Blunt was a star for McNeese State and showed well in the East-West Shrine game. He has upside and could become a role player, though he is a bit of a positional tweener. He had nine sacks in his final year at McNeese State, so maybe he could play on the edge.
OT Juwann Bushell-Beatty, Michigan. Bushell-Beatty (6-6, 318 pounds) is joining the Redskins, as he implied on Instagram. He has nice size, so Bill Callahan will get a chance to work with him and develop him into a quality player.
WR T.J. Rahming, Duke. Rahming is a slot receiver who was a favorite of Daniel Jones last season. He caught 75 passes for 811 yards and eight touchdowns, all career-high numbers. He’s slight of frame (5-10, 170 pounds) but he could fight for a role in the slot.
TE Kano Dillon, Oregon. Dillon (6-5, 256 pounds) is a pure blocker. He had eight catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns for Oregon, but he’s more of a weapon in the run game. He will provide depth and could be a practice squad candidate.
S JoJo McIntosh, Washington. McIntosh had 212 tackles during his four-year career with the Huskies. He’s not great in coverage, but he could be a solid run support option for the Redskins. He’ll provide competition for a depth role at safety.
WR Steven Sims Jr., Kansas. Sims (5-10) is on the smaller side, but he could do well in the slot. He was a solid receiver at Kansas and given the team’s lack of depth at receiver, he could fight for a back-end roster spot or provide practice squad depth.
OT Chidi Okeke, Tennessee State. Okeke (6-6, 315 pounds) started his career at LSU before finishing at Tennessee State. He has the frame teams look for at the tackle position, so he’s worth a flier.
We’ll keep updating as more undrafted free agents are signed.
