The Washington Redskins landed two quality players on Day 1 of the 2019 NFL Draft. Now, they’ll shift their attention to Day 2.

On Thursday night, the Washington Redskins were able to add two new potential starters to their roster. They selected Dwayne Haskins with the 15th overall pick and then made a surprise move by trading back into the first round to land pass rusher Montez Sweat. Both players have a lot of upside, and they plugged some of the team’s biggest holes on the roster.

However, in the process of trading up for Sweat, the Redskins did lose their second round pick. They dealt it to the Colts. As a result, they will only have two picks on Day 2 of the draft, and they will come in the third round. The trade was still worth it, but it does mean that fans will have to be a bit more patient as we wait on their Day 2 decisions.

The ‘Skins also still have needs. Particularly on offense, they’re going to need to surround Haskins with more talent and try to fix the troublesome spot they’ve had the past few years at the left guard position. So, look for them to target those positions while also taking a look at the defense, too.

Here’s a look at some potential Day 2 options for the Redskins with their two third-round picks.
