Alabama. Jonah Williams. 7. player. 52. . Offensive Tackle

The Jaguars seem likely to take an offensive tackle at this juncture. The choice, however, is a bit less clear.

Both Jonah Williams and Jawaan Taylor have a case to be the first offensive tackle off the board in this class. However, I’m going with Williams here for a couple of reasons.

First of all, Williams has more versatility, as he could probably play any position on an offensive front. Taylor’s best fit likely comes at tackle. Second, Williams reportedly impressed in the team interviews and is viewed as a safe pick. Given how important character and leadership has been to Tom Coughlin’s Jaguars regime, this is notable.

Williams will have a chance to push Cam Robinson for the starting job at left tackle and at the very least, Williams will have a chance to play on the right side. He could also play guard if the team feels the need to use him there.

Other Jaguars Draft Options

TE T.J. Hockenson, Iowa. The Jaguars have a void at tight end and could try to upgrade their weaponry around franchise quarterback Nick Foles. Hockenson is a safe pick with good upside.

OT Jawaan Taylor, Florida. If Williams isn’t the top tackle on the Jaguars’ board, it’s likely that Taylor would be that.
