2019 NFL Mock Draft 8.0: Redskins land top quarterback, Raiders make surprise pick
The Rams lost Ndamukong Suh in free agency. Though he’s still available, the team may not opt to bring him back. As such, they could consider and defensive lineman with the 31st pick.
Jerry Tillery is an interesting pick, as the Notre Dame product has an athletic 6-7 frame and had seven sacks during his final season with the Fighting Irish. However, some off the field concerns had most grade him as a Round 2 prospect until his rise closer to the draft.
Tillery could help take over for Suh and provide some of the same pass-rushing prowess thanks to his length. Either way, pairing him with Aaron Donald is a great move and at this point, there are few players on the board better than Tillery.
Other Rams Draft Options
OL Erik McCoy, Texas A&M. The Rams need guard help after losing Rodger Saffold. If McCoy is on the board, he would make sense.
TE Irv Smith Jr., Alabama. The only thing missing on the Rams’ offense is a good starting tight end. Smith could help make their unit even more potent.
