49. . Offensive Lineman. Texas A&M. Erik McCoy. 30. player

After addressing the defensive line with their first pick, the Packers take an offensive lineman here. Erik McCoy has been another interior offensive line player on the rise, and he could end up going higher than this.

McCoy is an athletic center/guard who should have a chance to become a quality player at the NFL level. McCoy could challenge free agent acquisition Billy Turner for a starting job at right guard, and could also push Lane Taylor at left guard. Either way, McCoy would add much-needed depth and athleticism on the offensive line, so the Packers will have interest.

Offensive weaponry could be an option here, too, but the options on the board aren’t quite as strong as McCoy.

Other Packers Draft Options

WR Marquise Brown, Oklahoma. The Packers drafted a bunch of receivers last year, but they are still missing a speed element in their offense. Brown could provide that.

TE Irv Smith Jr., Alabama. Another offensive weapon the Packers could consider, but they could also target him in the second round.
