2019 NFL Mock Draft 8.0: Redskins land top quarterback, Raiders make surprise pick

2. player. 42. . Defensive End. Ohio State. Nick Bosa

The 49ers are in perfect position to land a great defensive player they like with the No. 2 pick. In this scenario, Nick Bosa might end up being their top target.

Bosa is considered by many to be the top player in this draft class. He was a sack machine at Ohio State despite having limited action as a freshman and only playing in three games last season. In those three contests, he notched four sacks, and he should have a chance to develop into a very good pass rusher at the next level.

Bosa would pair with DeForest Buckner, Solomon Thomas, and Arik Armstead to give the 49ers four first-round picks on the defensive line. While Thomas and Armstead have yet to fully pan out, perhaps adding another talent could help to unlock their respective potentials.

Other 49ers draft options

DL Quinnen Williams, Alabama. This is the only non-Bosa option for the 49ers. They are going to take a defensive player and seem to have it narrowed down to those two. Williams would be a nice fit on the interior defensive line, but Bosa may fill the bigger need.
