21. player. 36. . Tight End. Iowa. Noah Fant

It is well within the realm of possibility for the Seahawks to trade down here. They did acquire the 29th pick from the Kansas City Chiefs, but they still are lacking selections overall, so they may try to move down with a team (perhaps the Patriots) and recoup a Day 2 pick in the process.

If Seattle doesn’t move down, they will continue to look for athletic playmakers on both sides of the ball. Noah Fant would fit the bill. Fant is a great athlete at tight end and found success at Iowa playing along with T.J. Hockenson. Fant showed well at the combine and could be a very good top tight end at the NFL level.

The Seahawks didn’t get much out of the tight end position after Will Dissly suffered a patellar tendon injury. Dissly may not have the same athletic ability after that issue, so using him as a backup may be better. Fant would give Russell Wilson a very solid receiving weapon at tight end, and he could become a red-zone threat.

Other Seahawks Draft Options

CB Greedy Williams, LSU. Williams fits the long, athletic mold that the Seahawks look for in their cornerbacks.

WR D.K. Metcalf, Ole Miss. Metcalf is a physical freak and the Seahawks could see him as a potential No. 1 receiver for their offense to eventually replace Doug Baldwin.

EDGE Montez Sweat, Mississippi. After trading Frank Clark, the Seahawks need extra help at the defensive end position. They may like Sweat’s athletic upside enough to outweigh his medical concerns.
