The 2019 NFL Draft is in less than a week. It’s time to get your final Redskins mocks in.

We’ve had a whole offseason to process and weigh the needs of the Washington Redskins for the upcoming draft, and yet, with less than a week to go until the event, there’s still an immense lack of clarity surrounding what the Redskins might actually do.

For a team with as many possible needs as the Redskins, the possibilities are truly endless, and one different selection in Round 1 changes the game for the rest of the draft.

The Redskins have done a fairly solid job of drafting players over the past two years, but now, with Jay Gruden’s seat hotter than it’s ever been, and with their quarterback situation in turmoil after Alex Smith‘s injury, it’s up to the Redskins to carry on the trend, when they need it most. To do that, they’ll have plenty of options, in every round.

To encapsulate the sheer amount of possibilities in the dcpomgin 2019 NFL Draft, Jacob Camenker and I sat down and each did our own mock draft, starting each mock off in a different way to see where it led. We recorded the results on our podcast, and you can listen by clicking the play link below.

You’ll find that our mocks had some striking similarities, but the complexion of each mock was changed drastically by the very first selections. Jacob’s mock draft was perhaps a bit more realistic, in terms of who Washington might be interested in, but in truth, both mocks had combinations in the realm of possibility. Which mock did you like more?

Of course, no one truly knows who Washington will pick on draft night, and the only way to find out is to wait until next Thursday. It’s a long, cumbersome wait. But we’ve gotten this far. This one week will be gone in a flash, and Washington’s next great test will be here in due time.
