Picks 65-68

65. Arizona Cardinals: CB Amani Oruwariye, Penn State

The Cardinals signed Robert Alford after he was cut by the Atlanta Falcons, but they still need to add some talent at cornerback. Oruwariye had seven picks in the past two seasons combined for Penn State. He has solid size and is a good athlete, so he could push Alford for the starting job across from Patrick Peterson.

66. Pittsburgh Steelers: EDGE Oshane Ximines, Old Dominion

More from Commanders Draft News

The Steelers continue to build their defense and grab an edge rusher here. Ximines played at a smaller school, but he had at least 7.5 sacks in each of the past three seasons (including 11.5 last year). Considering that Bud Dupree has only been decent at best since being drafted in the first round, Ximines would provide insurance if he continues to struggle.

67. San Francisco 49ers: CB Lonnie Johnson Jr., Kentucky

The 49ers could use some help at cornerback. Richard Sherman played well last year, but he’s getting long in the tooth. Meanwhile, Jason Verrett was added in free agency, but he hasn’t stayed healthy at all in recent seasons, appearing in just five games since 2016. Johnson is a big, physical corner who could emerge in the right situation. He doesn’t have great ball skills, but he should be able to manhandle opposing receivers. At this point, there aren’t a lot of options better than Johnson on the board for San Francisco.

68. New York Jets: WR Riley Ridley, Georgia

The Jets added former Redskins WR Jamison Crowder in free agency, but they still need to add more at the position. Robby Anderson is a good speed threat, but the team could use more of a route-runner to play elsewhere in the unit. Riley Ridley is one of the best route runners in this draft and should be able to gain separation fairly easily at the NFL level. He’s not a game-breaking threat, but Darnold will love throwing to Riley as a possession receiver. With Anderson and Crowder serving as big-play threats, Ridley could get a lot of targets if he can get open with his route running.
