Picks 97-100

97. New England Patriots: DE Maxx Crosby, Eastern Michigan

The Patriots finally add someone on defense to help replace the departed Trey Flowers. Crosby would be a nice part of the team’s solid defensive line rotation. Crosby moves surprisingly well and is a good athlete despite his bigger 6-6 frame. He logged 20 sacks in his three seasons at Eastern Michigan, and Bill Belichick may be able to get the most out of him at the next level.

98. Jacksonville Jaguars: WR Gary Jennings, West Virginia

The Jaguars could stand to add another receiver with upside. They have a lot of young players at the position, but they should keep adding players to give Nick Foles more weapons. Jennings had a great last two years at West Virginia and has upside as a No. 2 receiver who can play the Z at the next level.

99. Los Angeles Rams: DL Anthony Nelson, Iowa

Ndamukong Suh won’t be returning to the Rams this season. They need a replacement. Nelson (6-7) is a versatile defensive lineman who can play the five technique and should get pressure on quarterbacks. In his final three years at Iowa, he had 23 sacks. Wade Phillips will find a way to utilize his skill set.

100. Carolina Panthers: LB Germaine Pratt, NC State

The Panthers lost Thomas Davis to the Chargers in free agency. They could target Pratt, a local product, to replace him. Pratt had over 100 tackles and six sacks for NC State last year and showed the potential to be a three-down linebacker. Playing alongside Luke Kuechly and Shaq Thompson would certainly help his development, though the Panthers may opt to go in a different direction if they do shift to mainly a 3-4 defense.
