Picks 93-96

93. New York Jets: OT David Edwards, Wisconsin

Brandon Shell isn’t a great starting option at right tackle. The Jets should try to find someone to compete with him for the position. David Edwards regressed a bit last year after looking great for Wisconsin in 2017, but he has the skills needed to be a solid starter at right tackle. Taking him here could work out for the Jets.

94. Jacksonville Jaguars: RB Miles Sanders, Penn State

Leonard Fournette was arrested recently, and the Jaguars’ patience with him may soon wear thin. They will probably add some competition behind him at the very least, as they let T.J. Yeldon walk in free agency. Miles Sanders burst onto the scene as the top back after Saquon Barkley’s departure, and he may be one of the best pure runners in this class. However, his dreadful fumble rate ranks second-worst among draftable running backs since 2016. So, he could slip to this juncture if teams are worried about ball security.

95. New York Giants: EDGE Austin Bryant, Clemson

The forgotten man on a strong Clemson defensive line, Austin Bryant has potential as a rotational edge rusher at the next level. He logged 8.5 sacks in each of the past two seasons, though it’s worth noting that he benefitted from playing with three other potential first-round talents. The Giants could add him in hopes of turning him into a starter.

96. Washington Redskins: OL Nate Davis, Charlotte

The Redskins need to add offensive line help at some point. While I was tempted to give them quarterback Brett Rypien at this point, Nate Davis was too good to pass on. Davis was a strong tackle at Charlotte, but he needs to move inside at the NFL level. He could challenge Ereck Flowers for the left guard spot and his strength would be an asset in the run game. If the Redskins wait until the third round to get a guard, Nate Davis would be a great pickup for them.
